Surgical navigation is a method where essential parts of
an operation can be tracked by computer. This is a rapidly
evolving field which has the potential to greatly improve
many critical aspects of reconstructive surgery of the hip
and knee. Surgical navigation goes hand in hand with the evolution
of "minimally invasive surgery" because incisions
can safely be made progressively smaller if the critical aspects
of the surgery can be tracked by our surgical navigation systems.

techniques.
